Because places are not always the same.
Because everything changes and transforms.
Because the remnants return to us a place we have no memory of.
I stand before what, millions of years ago, was a sea.
I see the landscape as eternal and believe it will continue forever – it is the link that connects us to a world that no longer exists.
I want to gather time and space.
The work is an intervention in the landscape, one that will leave no trace.
In the environmental conditions we live in today, it feels almost like an instinct of protection.
It is a form and a projection that brings us closer to a distant silence, to recreate this place as our own.
